Kat Von D make tattoos in her body because she supports the protest action PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), by minimizing the use of fur for fashion.
According to the magazine Femalefirst, Saturday (11/10/2008), Kat Von D is also not ashamed to show tattoos on the body in PETA ad organization. The ad titled: ordinated by PETA’s youth division PETA2. In the ad, which is done by famous photographers, Lionel Deluy, Kat Von D pose naked.
